Lübben offers cultural events all year round.

The town and regional museum of Lübben was opened in the Schloss in 2001. It is a multi-media museum where you can look, touch, have fun and learn.
The winter concerts in the historic Wappensaal, which is an assembly room richly decorated with coats-of-arms, are fixed events in Lübben's cultural life. The beautiful acoustics in the Wappensaal makes the musical evenings an absolute must.
Various concerts, pop and classical, held on the Schloss Island attract thousands of visitors every year. The attractive natural background of the park makes a wonderful setting for these events.
The Punt Nights (Kahnnächte) on the Schloss Island are events attracting visitors from all over Germany. Visitors are taken by punt, under the starry summer sky, on the streams alongside the island, whilst on the river banks music, dance, and artistic shows are presented, each in accordance with a specific theme.

For some decades the Spreewaldfest has been celebrated every year in September. Music and dance on outdoor stages, craftsmen, artists and hawkers bring a boisterous atmosphere to the town. The festival's highlight is the traditional punt procession where festively decorated Spreewald punts float in a lively, colourful river procession for all to admire. |
New festivals have been created, too. Now the punt gondoliers "push the boat out" and celebrate their own dock parties, and the "Postsäulenfest" is celebrated around the post column in Breite Straße, a charming shopping boulevard.

Please feel further welcome to visit the library, the fire brigade museum, or one of the various exhibitions in the town hall (Rathaus) and district council (Landratsamt).
